Main Projects

  • Spellvalley's Unicorn Cafe
  • Sock Wizard inherits a cozy, magical cafe in a little town called Spellvalley. He makes friends with his co-worker Patsy, and other neighboring business owners. They'll work together to maintain their lovely community, protecting it from an un-wholesome kingdom that's trying to buy up property around town, and pesky bandits that openly go around thieving from all the shops and. The bandits are also part of the community though. It's a little weird. I'm unsure of exactly what form this silly and whimsical world should take, but it's very important to me, so I hope it's stories are written someday.
  • True Colors Glowing
  • There's this obscure trading card game that's gaining a fairly dedicated player base. Tournaments are starting to be held, and there are some highly emotional queer people who are participating. In this world, people's emotions sometimes manifest, changing their form into an animal-like shape that glows in different colors and is called an "inner self". But this society has decided that displaying one's inner self, especially in public, is innapropriate. I promise the card games and the glowwy feelings thing comes together to make some kind of story. I'm currently working on a comic/graphic novel thing for it.
  • Sophia and Friends
  • Mostly a vibe. But I have some abstract ideas about it...
  • Kadreamin'
  • Calling it a project feels weird, it's the name given to me and Harmony's cross-over world which most all of our characters live in seperately from their main canon. There are many characters who only exist in this world as well.

Tools and supplies

This spread represents what is (currently) my most commonly used supplies. Gouache paints, water brushes, colored pencils, felt tipped pen. Gouache is usually the majority of my drawings, with colored pencils and/or pen for lines and other fine details. Also commonly used are acrylic paint pens. They're not included in this picture because they're usually limited to a few highlights on the piece. It's definitely not because I forgot to get them. More about my gouache paints!

Prismacolor colored pencils have a softness that works really well for adding details to gouache. The contents of this tin far exceed the original 24 this set started with, as I've continued to just throw every new prismacolor I buy into it.

Various acrylic paint pens. They're so fun for adding vibrant pops of color. My favorite are the black pens with the logo I cannot read for the life of me. They're my favorite because I have... issues with the other two.

Complaining about my paint pensI do like the Artistro pens, I think they have really pretty colors, but they tend to get juicy. Like, I just wanted to pump out a liiiiittle bit more paint and now my drawing has been murdered. You gotta be careful with them. Managable, but not ideal.
That white pen, the UTILTO or UTILLO, whatever that's supposed to say, idk, is the worst. It clogs and gives you practically NO paint, AND it juices everywhere if you're not careful. I was so excited to get a little pack of all white paint pens but they're such a pain to use that I sometimes just give up and get out a tube of acrylic paint and paint brush. The very thing paint pens were supposed to save me the trouble of doing, I thought.

Finally, I don't know if this is of any interest, but I scan all of my drawings with an Epson flatbed scanner.
